Butterfly was a weekly comic/story paper published by The Amalgamated Press. It was formerly The Comic Home Journal that was aimed at adults.

The following comics/story papers were merged into Butterfly -  Firefly in 1917 and Merry and Bright in 1935, before finally being merged itself into Tip Top on 25th May 1940.

Butterfly and Firefly  7th Apr 1917 - 17th Oct 1925 (446 issues) - Numbering restarted from #1

Butterfly 24th Oct 1925 - 18th May 1940 (760 issues)  - (Incorporating Merry and Bright 26th Jan 1935)
