A predominantly school boy story paper with contributions from Charles Hamilton, the 'schoolboys and masters' as well as other authors of stories not necessarily relating to school.

Published by The Amalgamated Press, this was the 2nd launch of The Greyfriars Herald with the first series one only lasting 18 issues during 1915/1916 due to paper shortages as a result of the first world war.

This series had a number of name changes:

The Greyfriars Herald => 1st Nov 1919  - 18th Dec 1920

The Greyfriars Boy's Herald => 25th Dec 1920 - 26th Mar 1921

The Boys' Herald => 2nd Apr 1921 - 25th Mar 1922

On the 1st of April 1922 it merged with The Marvel which only lasted another three weeks.
