The Dreadnought ran for an initial run of 12 issues before being renamed to The Dreadnought and War Pictorial. Throughout the 2nd series (which immediately followed the 1st series), it had a number of name changes:

  • The Dreadnought
  • The Dreadnought and War Pictorial
  • The Dreadnought and Boys War Weekly
  • The Dreadnought with which is Amalgamated "The Boys' Journal" (Issue S2/141)

Many of the stories featured reprints from other papers such as Boys Friend and The Magnet and featured Sexton Blake and Greyfriars among others.

It was amalgamated with Boys' Friend after June 12, 1915.

Series 2:  1st Jun 1912 -> 12th Jun 1915 (159 Issues)
